Lords of Metal

Recently The Void signed a record-deal with the Italian label My Kingdom Music and with that they also celebrate the tenth anniversary of the band. This combo is mostly inspired by bands like Moonspell, Tiamat and Paradise Lost; a dedication that can definitely be heard in the opus of this three-headed Italian dark metal band.
Singer Diego has no problem whatsoever to prove himself in the abundance of dark doomy atmospheres and the aggression of heavy modern gothic rock. Diego possesses a wide and varied collection of different singing styles: rough singing, clear clean vocals, grunts and massive dark voices fill up this album with an eminent persuasion. There's not much persuasive power left to prove that this band offers a lot of possibilities for the future.
With this debut album The Void make clear how good they are (they play a fast game which goes by fluently), but the gentlemen have to watch out for not going too fast and exceeding the borders of their capabilities. However, the production of this tragic metal could be better; I hope this band will be able to leave the underground and turn into a well appreciated dark metal formation. And in order to reach that, it is important for them to be critical of themselves in order to make the necessary step up to the higher level.
